Cora B. Edwin is a pseudonym used by Stacie Ann Leininger exclusively for her Gleothane series.
Stacie invented the word Gleothane specifically for the series that she and her late boyfriend Andrew James McMahon (1980-1995) started shortly before he was murdered at age 15.
This high fantasy series is a spin on the choose your own adventure concept and will have at least 12 books that features heroes with disabilities.
In 2016, Stacie sent in the unpublished manuscript of what would become Gleothane: the Living Scroll to the Library of Congress for registration.
Unbeknownst to Stacie, someone in another country found her registration and used it to create their own version of Gleothane. (Due to a legal loophole and a hold up in the judicial system, Stacie can't bring charges against this individual until Andrew's killers are brought to justice. Read further to learn more)
Shortly after Stacie published Gleothane: The Living Scroll through The Troy Bookmakers (located in Troy, New York), one of her former editors reached let her know about errors that made it through to publication.
As this series is the legacy of Andrew James McMahon, Stacie pulled the first printing and hired a series of bad editors which resulted in a major re-write instead of just a clean up.
The re-write became Gleothane: A Call for Warriors which is now in its’ second printing.
Stacie was able to use the experience to help her regain her literary mind, that was nearly lost in 2018 when she had a major mental health crisis.
Her C-PTSD mental health crisis was mostly due to the discovery of new forensic technology that can be used in Andrew’s case, the release of a convicted child serial killer that Stacie had known when she was a minor, and a lawyer's brazen attempt to get Stacie to hire him when the Look-Back Window was to opened in NYS as Stacie is listed on a number of documents as a Catholic School survivor...
(Even though the former Albany Bishop Howard Hubbard admitted to silencing Stacie in 1996, (when she was 16) Stacie has been unable to obtain legal console to help her fight as no one wanted to chance interfering with a homicide investigation.)
In January of 2019, Stacie got the Schenectady Police Department to reopen Andrew’s case.
Shortly thereafter, she was once again crushed, when the Detective was reassigned and Andrew’s case was re-buried.
Undeterred, Stacie continues to heal and fight for justice through her poetry (an acceptable means to openly fight without fear of liable).
The publication of Gleothane’s book 2 as well as several of Stacie’s other books are on hold pending the arrest of Andrew’s killers as Stacie’s literary works (especially Gleothane) are considered to be part of an ongoing homicide investigation that involves a known serial killer. Unfortunately, the Schenectady Police Department aren’t actively doing anything about which has caused quite a few issues for Stacie Ann Leininger which includes but is not limited to serious financial strain and major mental health issues of which people who want to keep this case buried use against Stacie as a means to discredit her.
Until Andrew’s killers are arrested, Stacie Ann Leininger (aka Cora B. Edwin) is unable to move forward with Book 2 in the Gleothane Series.
For more publicly available information on this injustice, you can review the descriptions of Stacie’s darker poetry books (His Lies Did Not Erase Me and Defiance: A Survivor Fighting for Justice Through Poetry) that are available on Amazon.
Gleothane: A Call for Warriors is available on Amazon, and through The Troy Bookmakers.
